In that case, keep an eye out for my new picture book, Diggory Digger and the Dinosaurs, a rollicking underground adventure starring plucky little Diggory and his friend Morris the Mole. Plus DINOSAURS! Diggory is vibrantly illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees (award-winning co-creator of Giraffes Can’t Dance) and comes out on October 7.

It’s been a bit of a bumper year. The vagaries of different publishers’ schedules mean that Diggory arrives hot on the heels of Dustbin Dad (Simon and Schuster); Rich Witch Poor Witch (Macmillan);  The Great Balloon Hullaballoo (Andersen); The Cat, the Mouse and the Runaway Train (Hodder); and not to mention Bunny Loves to Write and Underpants Wonderpants (Parragon) and four little Busy Wheels titles for QED.
