Captain Jack and the Pirates, illustrated by Helen Oxenbury and published by Puffin Books, is one of eight titles on the 2016 shortlist for the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal, presented annually by CILIP (the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) for outstanding illustrators. The winner will be announced on Monday 20th June at a ceremony at the British Library in London.
