Visit to European School RheinMain

On May 7th I was in Germany for a day with Pre-Primary and Primary 1– 3 at the European School RheinMain at Bad Vilbel, Frankfurt. I was wonderfully looked after by my host Ute Arias (Junior Librarian) and her colleague Renate Kirmse (Senior Librarian). The Great Dog Bottom Swap was specially requested by P2 and 3, and we had fun drawing a character and creating our own stories. P1 made a fantastic whale collage inspired by fish in The Shark in the Dark, and the PPs created their own brilliant dinosaur mash-ups along the lines of the Diggerosaurus in Diggory Digger and the Dinosaurs.

You can see Ute’s excellent blog post on the European School RheinMain website here. It includes some of the writing tips that I talked about with the older groups, and there are more photos of a highly memorable visit.
